The Marion Area Chamber of Commerce will host a program on how to protect your intellectual property, called "Patent Law for Entrepreneurs and Business." The special event will take place at the chamber building, located at 267 W. Center St., Ste. 200, Marion, Ohio 43302.
Jacob M. Ward, Registered Patent Attorney with the law firm of Fraser Clemens Martin & Miller, LLC will present the course. He will discuss the types of intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and patents. The course will include a discussion of how to recognize your intellectual property, and the steps you can take to protect and profit from it.
The program is free and open to the public. Established businesses, entrepreneurs, and inventors are encouraged to attend.
