Who:
All African-American Business and Non-profit owners in Marion County who would like to gather together to discuss the challenges and opportunities they face with their organizations, while working to become stronger together.
What:
This newly-formed Marion Area Black Business Council is partnering with the Marion Area Chamber to also host a listing of African-American owned Businesses, Nonprofits and Churches in Marion County (at no cost) in an effort to raise awareness while also building a communication network to provide minority-owned specific resources to the area's community.
THERE IS NO COST TO BE A PART OF THE LISTING OR PART OF THE MABBC AND CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED

Jesse J. Mark III, MBA, Director of the Columbus Region Minority Business Assistance Center, member of the Columbus Urban League
Jesse Mark is a champion for the people, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the financial and banking industry. With his expertise in retirement planning, insurance protection, business finance, and commercial and mortgage lending, he has become a trusted advisor to many businesses, individuals and families. Working across non-profit, government, and corporate sectors, Jesse has developed dynamic programs that have provided access to capital and educational opportunities tailored to meet the needs of Ohio’s small businesses.
He is a graduate of Ohio Northern University’s James Dicke College of Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Sports Management, and earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix. Jesse has served on the boards of the Columbus Business Alliance and the Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce and holds professional affiliations with numerous Central Ohio chambers and rotary groups.
Topic:
Learn about the Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) which provides support to minority and economically disadvantaged businesses, including certification assistance, trainings, one-on-one counseling and access to capital resources. The Columbus Region MBAC serves 18 counties in Central and Southeast Ohio, including Marion County.
