OhioHealth Certified Nurse Practitioners will discuss the importance of knowing your numbers. Cardiovascular disease continues to be the number one killer among American men and women. The AHA reports an average of 17.3 million deaths per year related to heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure. Do you also know that your individual health choices can help modify your risk factors? Know your numbers. What is your blood pressure? What are your total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides? If you don't know your numbers, this is a great time to talk with your healthcare provider.
